Making an Outsized Impact: The San Pasqual Union Foundation Fills the Funding Gap

San Pasqual Union Elementary School ranks last in per-pupil funding in San Diego County. SPU ranks 42nd out of 42 districts in funding. Unlike most other districts in San Diego County, under the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), San Pasqual Union receives minimal supplemental and no concentrated grant funds.

COMPARED TO ESCONDIDO UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT, SPU RECEIVES $4,147 LESS PER STUDENT IN FUNDING.

California public schools are among the lowest funded in the country, ranked 41st out of 50 states for per pupil funding.

As needs arise, the Foundation makes funding available for projects that enrich the school experience for all of our students.
